How to Check Your Own pH Balance?

There is no limit to how many times a day you can test yourself, but it’s always a good idea to do so at roughly the same time each morning, as one’s body is most acidic during this period.

The ideal goal for your morning urine pH should be somewhere between 6.5 and 7.5. As for your saliva pH, it should ideally be similar to that of your urine. But you need to wait for at least 2 hours after your meal before measuring your saliva pH.

The proper way to do this is to fill your mouth with your saliva and swallow, then repeat once more. This is for making sure your spit is clean. Once you’ve done that, simply place some saliva to the pH test strip.

If you feel unready to change your diet 180 degrees, that’s fine. You’d best aim for a 70-30 ratio of alkaline-acidic foods. But keep in mind that your diet is not the only thing affecting your pH levels. You should also keep your daily stress levels in check.
